The Ministry of Justice has appointed a warden to oversee the Okanagan Correctional Centre (OCC) north of Oliver.
Steve Dicastri has more than 30 years of service with BC Corrections. He is currently the warden of Fraser Regional Correctional Centre and Ford Mountain Correctional Centre.
A ministry spokesperson told the Chronicle that construction trailers are expected to be moved onto the OCC site on Monday, Aug. 25.
