Two people are being airlifted to Kelowna after a pickup truck went off road in the Mount Baldy area this morning.

The Osoyoos Fire Department responded to the incident on Mount Baldy Road near Bridesville and extricated the male and female occupant, fire chief Dave McMahon said.

“They made an error in judgement, call it what you will, and for whatever reason ended in the creek below,” he said.

With assistance from BC Ambulance and RCMP, firefighters removed the occupants from the vehicle and transported them to the Osoyoos Airport to be airlifted to Kelowna.

The condition of the people is not known, but McMahon said the female occupant has “more significant injuries” than the male.
