Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported me during the recent school trustee by-election.
It is humbling to know that there are so many that put their faith in me.
I know that I am not well known in the community and the fact that so many of you shared my vision is inspiring. Special thanks go out to Brenda and Carol for signing my nomination papers. I would also like to thank Nadine, Ryan, Sharlene, Laura and Wayne for allowing me to have signs in your yards.
I must also say thanks to Andrew Stuckley at Osoyoos Today for setting up the online forum on their Osoyoos Today web page (as well as their Facebook forum that I participated in).
I also would like to thank John Redenbach for participating in the online forum and to Richard McGuire at Osoyoos Times and Jack Bennest at Oliver Today for their fair and unbiased coverage of this by-election.
I will continue to attend as many school board and Parents’ Advisory Council meetings as possible so I can stay in touch with what is happening in our schools and at the board level.
I will keep building on the support I have achieved so far and will be back in 2018. I hope I can continue to count on your support.
I would also like to congratulate Casey Brouwer on being elected and wish him well.
