Transwest Helicopters Ltd. in Oliver has a lot to celebrate as it recently completed one of two Bell 412 overhauls as part of a big contract. Here, proud staff members gather in front of the shiny green machine.

After only six months, Transwest Helicopters Ltd. has completed the overhaul of one of the two Bell 412 Classics for Wood Buffalo Helicopters of Fort McMurray, Alberta.

“The completion of the first helicopter for Wood Buffalo, marks a significant event in our ongoing commitment to providing quality overhaul work for a reasonable cost,” said Transwest Helicopters president/CEO Ernst-Ulrich Maas.

“This first machine was totally rebuilt from skid to head.  I am very proud of our team of professionals that worked hard to get this done on time, and on budget.”

Stacy Ascah, PRM of Transwest Helicopters echoed  Maas. “Without some of our partners and vendors, this would have been a more challenging endeavor,” he added.

Jeff Nagy,  PRM of Wood Buffalo Helicopters expressed his appreciation for Tranwest’s efforts.  “I wanted to congratulate you and all of your staff on the excellent 412 project you just delivered to us; the aircraft looks like new. We are very proud and excited to have this aircraft here and I would like to thank you and your staff for building us this excellent piece of equipment.”

Transwest Helicopters operates a fleet of Bell 214B, Bell 412 and A-Star 350 B2 helicopters.  Transwest Helicopters is a Bell Authorized Service Centre that specializes in major component overhaul and complete refit for the Bell medium family of helicopters and is also a Honeywell Licensed Support Facility.
