Everything you need to know about the municipal workings of the Town of Oliver is only a few clicks away.

On Monday, council heralded the official launch of the Town’s new website.

Corporate Officer Diane Vaykovich took council on a virtual tour, outlining all of the features.

Mayor Martin Johansen even cut a banner to welcome the new site.

Vaykovich said the design focus is to improve communication with residents and make site navigation easy.

She noted that users can continue to subscribe to news notifications and alerts. They can also access analytical data, bylaw information, budget documents, strategic priorities, property tax information and emergency services.

Vaykovich said you can type in a key word in the search bar to help you find what you are looking for.

Information on council meetings can be found in the civic web portal, where you can live stream the meetings.

The website even allows people to contact various departments if they have questions. Want to ask the mayor or councillor a question? Just email them.

Vaykovich said residents can navigate the website under “Our Community” to access health services where they can register to be placed on a patient attachment list if they are looking for a doctor.

The website can be accessed at www.oliver.ca.
