The Town of Osoyoos has a few dozen bikes they’re hoping to get rid of, and they think one could be yours.
At town council’s regular meeting on Monday, director of corporate services Janette Van Vianen said there are currently 29 bikes in town storage.
The found bikes are collected by bylaw enforcement from RCMP, public works or members of the public.

“They are put into storage and anyone missing a bike must identify it before it is released to them,” Van Vianen said.
A deadline to claim the bikes has been set for Nov. 29, after which the town will donate them to Double O Bikes, which supports the South Okanagan Association for Integrated Community Living, and the Osoyoos Community Living Flea Market.
To claim a bike the town requires a letter with the bike’s description including colour, size, make and serial number (if available), as well as contact information. Letters should be addressed to bylaw enforcement and sent, emailed or dropped off at town hall.
