A rash of break-ins last weekend have added more work for Oliver police and more headaches for business owners.

Thieves hit several businesses on May 31, including EZ Fuel, Shoppers Drug Mart Oliver Shoes and physiotherapy office.

EZ Fuel manager Craig Pearson said two males hit the gas station – one smashed a window to gain access to the convenience store, while the other skillfully removed a window to the car and truck rental centre.

“He knew what he was doing; it was someone who handled glass before . . . it took less than a minute,” Pearson said.

The security video shows that the thieves used a Ford Explorer as their vehicle.

While nothing was taken from the rental centre, some “stuff” was taken from the convenience store.

Pearson said it is believed the same thieves were involved in the other break-ins in town.

Shoppers Drug Mart sustained a broken window, but it is unknown if anything was taken. Owner Naomi Garrish could not be reached for comment.

Oliver Shoes suffered a damaged window, but no entry was gained.

Local RCMP could not be reached for further details.
