RCMP have recovered tens of thousands of dollars of stolen property after a raid on Monday.

On March 4, officers with the Midway and Osoyoos RCMP detachments raided a known problem residence on Alden Road in Bridesville.

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of property was recovered, including a camper van, numerous high end power tools, a large tow-behind rental generator (believed to be worth approximately $50,000) and a motorcycle registered in Washington State, said Cst. James Grandy.

While en-route, Osoyoos RCMP also recovered a tow-behind generator/light tower also worth several thousand dollars, which is believed to have been destined for the same property.

“All items are believed to have been stolen in recent days from Midway, Penticton, and Osoyoos,” Grandy said.

“As the investigation is ongoing and no charges have yet been laid, names of persons located/detained at the scene are not being released at this time.”

Residents in rural areas are reminded to keep vigilant of suspicious activity and report it to their local RCMP.

If anyone has any information related to these investigations, they are encouraged to call the Osoyoos RCMP at 250-495-7236 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
