While steady progress is being made on the Keremeos Creek wildfire, the western flank north of Olalla continues to pose a challenge according to the B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS).
The Evacuation Order for 191 properties identified within the Nk’Mip Creek area of Electoral Area A has been rescinded according to the latest update from the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) at 4 p.m. July 29.
A wide swath from Mt. Baldy Ski Resort extending east as far as Conkle Lake Provincial Park has been placed under Evacuation Order by the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB).
Two more properties on McKinney Road in the RDOS Electoral Area ‘C’ have been added to the Evacuation Order list due to the immediate danger to life safety as a result of the Nk’Mip Creek wildfire.
