The Apex Volunteer Fire Rescue has achieved a fire insurance grading which may lead to improved insurance rates for property and business owners on Apex Mountain.
Monday saw fire crews working on guards on the northern flank of the Keremeos Creek wildfire as wind conditions have been more favourable over the weekend and should remain that way as a high pressure ridge moves in.
The Keremeos Creek wildfire which began on Friday, July 29 north of Olalla has more than quadrupled in size in one day according to the B.C. Wildfire service.
