A woman makes her way up Main Street in pouring rain last Wednesday. Many parts of the southern Interior, including Osoyoos, saw heavy rains and lightning storms. The storms helped to dampen wildfires and also brought cooler temperatures that allowed the salmon migration to pick up. Some were inconvenienced when power outages occurred, soil eroded and the Wednesday evening Market on Main was cancelled. Hot, clear and dry weather is predicted for the remainder of this week.
