Will that be fries with your burger? Josh Hanson (left) and Jackson Vrabel were among the more than 250 children who came to the Osoyoos Times during Trick or Treat Main Street on Wednesday. They were dressed as big burgers with fries on top. (Richard McGuire photo)

Trick or Treat Main Street was still a way from finishing when the Osoyoos Times ran out of candy.

Office administrator Jocelyn Merit, who served candy to most of the youngsters, lost count of the number of kids coming through the door somewhere after 250. Other Main Street businesses looked just as busy.

The event, first organized by Osoyoos Credit Union in 2014, has become more popular every year.

Some of the businesses also got into the spirit with owners and staff dressing up.

Visiting Dirty Hairy’s Barbering on Halloween was a bit of a hair-raising experience. Owner Sue Gerrard was a dead ringer for the Wicked Witch of the West and her sidekick, Josh Heppell, grew an amazing moustache in less than a day. (Richard McGuire photo)
