The Town of Oliver has begun the Station Street upgrade project, which will result in some traffic disruptions and temporary road closures.
Construction is starting on Thursday and will continue into June.
Grizzly Excavating Ltd., who has been hired to undertake the water, sewer, storm water and road upgrades, is starting work on Fairview Road with the majority of work continuing on Station Street.
The Town has advised that drivers prepare for traffic disruptions and some temporary road closures throughout the project’s duration. Inclement weather may also affect some scheduled timelines.
Grizzly Excavating Ltd. will be working directly with local business and property owners affected by construction to accommodate pedestrian and vehicle access.
