The South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce (SOCC) has elected a new Board of Directors eager to implement their strategic plan.

Oliver business owner Corrie Adolph was elected president of the chamber for 2016. She brings many years of strategic communication and advocacy experience to the board, says the SOCC in a news release.

“We look forward to earning the respect of South Okanagan business owners as we work hard to promote an environment where business thrives and business owners feel they have a strong voice,” said Adolph.

The chamber board executive also includes vice president Douglas Lamb (Osoyoos), who brings many years’ experience as a chamber executive member; and treasurer Carmine Maddalena (Osoyoos), who works in the financial services industry.

Business owner Sara Amos (Oliver) continues on as secretary.

Past president Brian Highley (Okanagan Falls), John Powell (Okanagan Falls), Mary Fry (Oliver), Linda Buhler (Oliver), Eileen McGinn (Osoyoos), and Grant Storzuk (Osoyoos) are all business and community leaders with years of experience in the South Okanagan.

“I am proud to lead such a strong team,” said Adolph. “We have a bright and talented new executive director, a new mission statement, and a renewed sense of focus.”
