Sienna Bontorin received one of the best Christmas gifts ever this year – the Governor General’s Academic Medal.
The graduate of Southern Okanagan Secondary School received the medal from Principal Marcus Toneatto for achieving the highest average (93 per cent) upon graduation.
In addition to winning eight bursaries and scholarships this year, Bontorin was the recipient of the senior academic cup.
