Close to 800 players from across the South Okanagan gathered in Osoyoos this past weekend for the inaugural Penticton Football Club (FC) Pinnacles Icebreaker tournament. Several teams from Osoyoos participated in the event, which saw games played at Desert Park and the field at Osoyoos Secondary School. In action above, the Under-13 boys teams from Oliver (green jerseys) battled the team from Summerland with Summerland eking out a close victory. In the girls division, the team from Keremeos (purple jerseys) battled the team from Oliver Saturday afternoon. The regular season for the Pinnacles FC minor soccer program begins this week in Osoyoos and throughout the South Okanagan. There will be another big tournament in Osoyoos over the May long weekend. Pinnacles FC took over the minor soccer program last year from the South Okanagan Youth Soccer Association.
