Residents of Heritage House had to be evacuated this afternoon after a fire alarm sounded.
Firefighters were called to the assisted living facility at 409 Salamander Avenue at around noon for a smoke alarm. However, it turned out to be a false alarm, set off by renovation (sanding) work on the second floor.
