Emergency crews rushed to the scene when a motor vehicle accident occurred on Monday night at 7:30 p.m., which saw a single occupant vehicle to roll over on Highway 3 east of Mule Deer drive.
First responders from the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department (AMFD) went to the scene to provide immediate medical attention until the ambulance arrived, while firefighters did traffic control in the area. The occupant in the vehicle was treated at the scene, and later transported by the BC Ambulance Service.
Brenda Arychuk from AMFD said their crews did not have to do any extrication to remove the driver from their vehicle.
Arychuk mentions that this corner by Mule Deer drive has seen a number of incidents, and she wants to remind people, especially at this time of year, to be very careful while driving for the current weather conditions.
“Now we’re having more rain and sleet, and there’s also a lot of deer out at night. So it’s always slowing down, a deer could pop out, the roads could be slippery, and all sorts of things like that. So we’re just always reminding people to slow down and drive for conditions,” said Arychuk.
