Oliver’s senior boys volleyball team had a tough time at last night’s tournament in the SOSS gymnasium.

Unfortunately the team was winless in the three matches it played against Princess Margaret, Summerland and Okanagan Mission.

“We got off to a very slow start vs Maggie and worked to raise the quality of our play as the night went on,” said coach Steve Podmorow. “We were not able to make the push necessary in our later matches to beat the more consistent teams in our South Central League.”

Podmorow agreed that his team has potential when you see them work as a cohesive unit.

The Hornets will see its next action on Wednesday, Nov. 4 in the league championships held at Kelowna Christian Secondary School.
