Dear Editor:

School closures in Osoyoos would lead to economic trauma for residents and businesses alike.

Property values would decline and new families wouldgo elsewhere to find jobs. All Canadian cities are vying for new industry, which is unlikely in an economic downturn.

Let’s wake up to our “ace in the hole,” which would come with a beautiful and unique national park that would turn our town into a healthy, thriving mecca. Let’s get the message to our MLA. There will still be lots of room for quads.
