The RipOff Artists invite the public to see their creations at Quail’s Nest Arts Centre this week from 9 am to 3 pm. They are ripping off the surrealism of Mimi Parent by using various mediums to make a mermaid. The ideas are out of this world. For example, Kurt Hutterli is tackling an interactive piece that will give people a chance to “catch a fish.” To find out more, be sure to attend the finale this Saturday, August 9 at 3 pm when the RipOff Artists complete their projects. In the meantime, feel free to drop by the centre and check out each artist’s rendition.
