A Penticton man was reduced to tears in Oliver yesterday when someone turned in his lost wallet with the rent money intact.

Kevin Walsh said he had $1,000 in his wallet when he misplaced it in Oliver on Monday.

“I set it down somewhere . . . I searched everywhere,” Walsh said.

He then called the last place he stopped at – 7-Eleven on Main Street.

“I called and the wallet was there. I was too scared to ask if the one thousand dollars was still in there.”

It was. So was all of his identification, which would have been a nightmare to replace, he pointed out.

“I was in tears,” Walsh said. “Someone was watching over me.”

Walsh wants to give something back to the honest person who did the good deed.
