FortisBC is planning a power outage in the Gallagher Lake area on Thursday.
A planned power outage is scheduled in the Oliver area on Thursday, August 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The planned power outage will affect approximately 130 customers on Gallagher Lake Road and Highway 97.
The outage is required for new construction.
Tips for planned power outages:
· Protect your electronics, such as TVs, PVRs and computers, by using surge-protecting power bars.
· Conserve cellphone batteries.
· If you have an electric garage door opener, locate the manual release lever and learn how to operate it.
