Osoyoos RCMP released this image of the suspect captured by video surveillance during a recent break-in at Joe’s Plumbing and Heating. This is not the first time the business has been hit, and break-ins are occurring regularly at other businesses, homes and vehicles. (Photo supplied)
Break-ins at Osoyoos businesses, homes and vehicles continue – sometimes several times in a week.
This problem and other crime and policing issues will be discussed at an RCMP community forum Thursday evening at the Sonora Community Centre.
The forum starts at 7 p.m. and it will be your chance to come and ask questions and get information.
We expect Osoyoos RCMP Detachment Commander, Sgt. Randy Bosch, will have some interesting and informative things to say.
Spring job fair
There’s a spring hiring job fair Thursday afternoon at Spirit Ridge from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. It should be a good chance to meet potential employers and also to learn about job-related training opportunities available.
Possible showers today and tomorrow, weather improving Sunday
The weather forecast has changed for the next few days from what Environment Canada told us yesterday.
Today will be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers this afternoon. High will be 15 C.
The weather will be pretty much the same Thursday, and there’s even a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.
Friday will be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 17 C, and Saturday will be cloudy and high 18 C.
If we can believe the longer-range forecast, the weather should turn great on Sunday with sunshine and highs of 23 – 24 C from Sunday to Tuesday.
