“Chrissie gave me a chance to teach for her when I was brand new to teaching. I was so nervous and she guided and encouraged me with love and light-heartedness. I remember feeling so grateful, and I wish I told her more often,” said Mhaire O’Shea, a fellow dance instructor in the Okanagan.
“I have known Chrissie for a very long time and she was (I know I’m not supposed to say this) my favourite student when I taught dance,” one woman posted. “Twenty years later she has supported and encouraged me to get back in the dance community. Something I never thought I’d do. Her passion and love for this art was exactly the push I needed.”
The outpouring of love and support continued:
“So blessed to have Chrissie touch my life. I am forever changed and for that I am forever grateful.”
“This is so very heartbreaking, Chrissie was such a bright soul who made such a difference in so many lives.”
“Such a mentor to all ‘our kids’ she had a glow that everyone felt when she stepped into a room.”
“A bright light, a beautiful, kind, loving soul.”
