If you’ve ever wondered what working in medieval times would have been like, you now have an opportunity.

The Osoyoos Medieval Faire is just over a month away, but the Society of Tilt & Lance Cavalry who hosts the annual event is still looking for volunteers.

Open positions include site set up and take down, gate, parking, decorating gym and entrance doors, kids zone and stilt walking clinic.

Volunteers are also needed for public relations and poster distribution in Osoyoos, Keremeos, Rock Creek, Grand Forks, Oliver, Okanagan Falls, Penticton, Summerland, Peachland and Kelowna. Volunteers need to be able to commit a day in April to select a preferred territory and distribute posters.

Volunteers will have a free pass to the Faire on the day they choose to work and a free barbecue dinner on Sunday evening after the village gates are closed. Work shifts are limited to four hours so volunteers have ample opportunity to enjoy the Faire.

The Faire takes place May 18 – 20 at Desert Park. Interested volunteers can contact volunteer organizer Bobbie at [email protected].
