The Frank Venables Theatre will be transformed into a Las Vegas showcase featuring three outstanding performers, including Elvis tribute artist Adam Fitzpatrick, on Sunday, Nov. 16.
Schell Shock Entertainment and TCB Rock and Roll Legends invite people to take a “Trip down the Vegas strip” starting at 7 p.m.
The award-winning Fitzpatrick will be joined by Roy Orbison tribute artist Joe Kelso and the multi-talented Diamond Jones, who honours Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Willie Nelson and even Barbara Streisand.
The show will also feature the incredible sounds of the Uptown Hornz, which is sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises out of Graceland.
Hornz trumpet player Mike Schell is a promoter for Schell Shock Entertainment and recently toured Oliver’s new theatre.
“I was blown away … Frank Venables is super nice,” he said. “This is a state-of-the-art venue. It’s just incredible.”
Schell said the touring Vegas show has been selling out, likening it to sitting in the Hilton in Las Vegas and watching a headline act.
“We just want people to feel like they’re in Vegas.”
Schell, who manages Fitzpatrick, said the tribute artist has a good following in Oliver.
Schell said Fitzpatrick would perform the dramatic 2001 Space Odyssey, Suspicious Minds, Burning Love and more.
Schell noted that Diamond Jones has great banter with the crowd and often involves his audience in sing-a-longs.
Kelso will perform many Orbison favourites such as Crying, Only the Lonely, and Pretty Woman.
The finale of the show will see all three performers sing Viva Las Vegas.
Afterwards, they will meet members of the audience for photographs.
Schell recognized Beyond Bliss in Oliver for being one of the main sponsors of the show. Tickets, which are selling fast, are available at Beyond Bliss on Main Street in Oliver.
