The Oliver/Osoyoos Search & Rescue (OOSAR) responded to a call Thursday evening just after 6 p.m.,  regarding a paraglider who had a hard landing in the hills of the Seacrest area in Oliver.

The OOSAR team, along with Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD), were on scene to administer first aid and provide stretcher transport down steep terrain in the dark to BC Ambulance.

The male subject was stable during transport and later taken by ambulance to hospital by 10 p.m. the OOSAR said in a statement.

OOSAR acknowledged WVFD and BC Ambulance for their assistance and cooperation.
