Others held the broom the wrong way, while a few more threw the rock with the wrong hand.

All had fun, and learned a little more about the sport of curling.

Oliver Elementary School children were on the ice Thursday morning, while Sen Pok Chen school children, in the photo, spent time on the ice Thursday afternoon, learning the finer points about the game from Oliver Curling Club member Cathryn Pidduck.

For these school kids, it was their first opportunity to take to the ice.

Oliver school kids will be back at the curling rink to learn more skills in the coming weeks.

 

The Oliver Curling Club will hold its annual Curling Improvement Clinic Saturday, Nov 1.  It will be a drop in affair anytime from noon to 4 pm.  There will be club coaches on hand to help with problems you might have with any aspect of your game.
