Members of the Oliver Pickleball Club won eight medals at the Regency Kelowna Open Pickleball Tournament recently.
Players come from around the province and other parts of the country to participate and the Oliver players proved to be contenders in many categories.
Here is the list of medal winners from the Oliver club:
• Steve Tidder and Kieth Quesnelle (gold in Men’s Doubles skill, 60 and over)
• Janet Shaw (gold in Women’s Singles skill)
• Barry Tremblay and Stephen Kushner (silver in Men’s Doubles skill, age 60 and over)
• Michelle Tremblay and Barry Tremblay (silver in Mixed Doubles skill age, 60 and over)
• Hellen Tidder and Steve Tidder (silver in Mixed Doubles skill, 60 and over)
• Michelle Tremblay and Janet Shaw (silver in Women’s Doubles skill, 60 and over)
• Terri Willams and Kham Douangpanya (bronze in Mixed Doubles skill, 50 and over)
• Leah Schulting and Sunny Sidhu (bronze in Mixed Doubles skill)
These wins come just a month after the opening of Oliver’s first dedicated outdoor pickleball courts, located adjacent to the tennis courts. Public time on the courts is most afternoons.
