Oliver Pharmacy has made a significant contribution to local healthcare by donating $10,000 to the South Okanagan General Hospital (SOGH) Campaign being led by the South Okanagan Similkameen (SOS) Medical Foundation.

The donation is being made by Oliver Pharmacy owners Greg Wheeler and Chris Pasin, who say supporting local healthcare is a direct investment in the well-being of their community.

The SOGH Campaign is focused on bringing new services and modern equipment to South Okanagan General Hospital, enabling more patients to receive timely care closer to home. This includes a key priority of expanding ultrasound services at the hospital, reducing the need for residents to travel to Penticton or Kelowna and helping shorten wait times for important diagnostic imaging.

The campaign also supports other priority equipment and infrastructure upgrades that strengthen frontline care and improve patient experience. The campaign also includes funding for temporary housing for visiting medical staff or those moving to the area.

“We are incredibly grateful to Greg Wheeler and Chris Pasin for this generous leadership gift,” said Ian Lindsay, CEO of the SOS Medical Foundation.

“The SOGH Campaign is all about expanding access to essential services like ultrasound right here in the South Okanagan. When business partners like Oliver Pharmacy step forward, it accelerates our ability to bring new services online and improve care for thousands of residents. Their support shows how local businesses play a vital role in building stronger healthcare close to home.”

Chris Pasin added, “Healthcare affects every family at some point. We’re proud to invest in improvements that bring more services into our local hospital and strengthen care across the region. Our goal is to help improve access and outcomes for the entire community.”

Lindsay noted that community support continues to drive momentum for the SOGH Campaign, with businesses, donors, and partners working together to expand services and modernize care at South Okanagan General Hospital.
