Oliver’s Declan McDonald was back on the practice green at Fairview Mountain Golf Club Wednesday after competing in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour event at Predator Ridge in Vernon earlier this week.
McDonald, 17, competes in the Junior Boys Division.
He shot an opening round of 79 on the par 71 layout at Predator, but back problems hampered his second round and he scored an 88 to finish with a two-round total of 167, good for 23rd place out of 32 golfers.
McDonald is currently tied for 18th place in the Order of Merit standings.
The next tournament on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour schedule will take place at Hazelmere Golf Club in Surrey Aug. 18-19.
