The Town of Oliver has rescinded the Boil Water Notice issued on March 15, for the in-town water system as it has concluded the planned domestic water main relining project.

This project was necessary, according to the town, to increase the life span of the existing water main that feeds the reservoir to ensure the quality of water moving forward.

While the relining portion has now been concluded sections of the road that were dug up to access the water main will be repaved in the coming weeks and should be completed by the end of the month, the town said.

The properties affected by the water notice were largely on Spartan Street and School Avenue.
