The Okanagan Correctional Centre is facing another lawsuit, this time for negligence.
Inmate Alex Boucher is claiming that he wasn’t properly protected from an assault by another prisoner while in protective custody.
The lawsuit was filed in small claims court in Penticton this week and is asking for $34,000 due to negligence.
The correctional centre is also facing a lawsuit filed earlier this week by inmate Matthew Van Exan, who was allegedly subjected to a routine strip search in front of a security camera.
