Dear Editor:

Ready. Set. Dash!

The second annual Osoyoos Daffodil Dash is quickly approaching this coming Sunday, April 24 – but there is still plenty of time to register.

We invite everyone to come out and join this family friendly one or five-kilometre walk/run for the Canadian Cancer Society.

You can sign up as an individual or a team and get your yellow on – anything yellow will do. There will be prizes for best team costume, top fundraiser and more.

Register online before the end of the day on Thursday, April 21 and you will earn five free entries into our raffle for $500 in beautiful stainless steel and sterling jewelry accented with Canadian DiAmi diamonds.

This event replaces the former Canadian Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life event that was held in Osoyoos for a decade and helped raise significant dollars for the cancer society during that time.

Check in opens at 9 a.m., while the official welcome and warm-up will begin at 10 a.m.

There will also be a 100-metre Mini-Dash for children under 10. See you at Lion’s Park in Osoyoos. There was good response to last year’s inaugural Daffodil Dash in Osoyoos and we’re hoping for an even better event this year. For more information, visit www.cancer.ca/daffodildash/osoyoss today.
