The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the Nk’Mip Creek fire is now classified as “held.”
Information officer Aydan Coray told the Times-Chronicle that the fire is still 19,335 hectares in size.
“Crews are continuing mop-up activities and patrolling for any remaining hot spots in the north and west flanks,” she said.
Coray noted they suspect the fire was human caused, adding that officials are still investigating.
