Hockey season just ended, but local youth will be kept busy heading to the the soccer pitch for the start of another season.

The 2015 Ice Breaker Tournament is set to run this weekend at Desert Park in Osoyoos, with some games begin played at Southern Okanagan Secondary School in Oliver.

Teams from the Pinnacles Football Club – U-11 division all the way up to U-18 – will take part.

Action begins Friday in most of the age divisions and continues all weekend.

Regular season play for all Pinnacles FC teams begins in early April.

Young players wishing to sign up for the upcoming season can join by visiting the Pinnacles FC website at www.pinnacles.com.

The regular season continues throughout the spring with the season wrapping up in late June.

The Pinnacles FC took over the minor soccer program from the South Okanagan Youth Minor Soccer Association two years ago.
