The community Christmas dinner fed more than 300 people in Oliver Dec. 22.

The Oliver Alliance Church, which hosted the annual event at the community centre, reported that the entrance was jammed packed with people waiting for the doors to open.

Approximately 340 meals were served and another 30 meals were packed for people to take home.

Many thanks go out to Jose of Azorean Catering for donating his time, and to Buy-Low Foods, No Frills, Big Al’s Bakery and Oliver Parks and Recreation for helping sponsor the meals.
