On Friday, Dec. 20 the Osoyoos RCMP, in partnership with Osoyoos Fire Rescue, Buy-Low Foods and Osoyoos McDonald’s held a “Cram the Cruiser” and fire truck fundraiser.

The event was a huge success with enough food donated to fill five police cars and almost $2,200 in cash and gift cards for the Osoyoos food bank to help support local families in need.

I am absolutely thrilled and grateful and would like to thank all those that donated to this cause, however, I cannot say I am surprised,” said Osoyoos RCMP commander Sgt. Jason Bayda. “The people of this community never cease to amaze me with their generosity toward one another.

Bayda also thanked the Osoyoos Fire Rescue, Buy-Low Foods and Osoyoos McDonald’s for their support with this event.
