A man reported missing west of Osoyoos on Monday was found to have died in a single-vehicle collision Tuesday evening.
German Santana, 65, of Victoria was killed when his 2008 Ford Ranger pickup truck went over a cliff 24 km west of Princeton and plunged several hundred feet.
RCMP South Okanagan Traffic Services said Santana was believed to be travelling between Osoyoos and Vancouver.
Osoyoos RCMP said Santana called a friend on Monday evening and said he was passing through Keremeos. His vehicle was later spotted by police near Princeton.
His vehicle was white with “All Home Renovations & Restoration Ltd.” on the doors.
South Okanagan Traffic Services, including a collision reconstructionist, are investigating the incident. Anyone who may have seen this vehicle prior to the crash or have any information is asked to contact South Okanagan Traffic Services at 250-499-2250.
