Joined by staff of Destination Osoyoos, Mayor Sue McKortoff last week proclaimed the week of May 28 to June 3 as “National Tourism Week” in Osoyoos. The event recognizes the importance of tourism as a growing economic driver providing employment for many. In 2016, B.C. marked a record-breaking year with more than 5.5 million international visitors, up 12.3 per cent over 2015.
