A development permit is being sought for a major renovation to a dental office and the demolition of a former coffee shop in downtown Oliver.
The property is 6062 Main Street, where the applicant plans to construct a major addition to an existing dental office.
The proposal includes the demolition of a former coffee shop adjacent to 7-Eleven.
The majority of the parking spaces will be located behind the building.
The landscaping plan is extensive with plants, flowers, trees and turf proposed throughout the site. An outdoor patio is also planned.
Frontage upgrades are required including a new sidewalk along Main Street.
The applicant is seeking a variance to decrease the required off-street loading spaces from one to zero.
Town staff is recommending that council approve the permit, which will be discussed on Monday.

Here is what the new development may look like after it is complete.
