We’re hearing that local residents were contacted Sunday in a telephone poll that asked how they feel about MLA Linda Larson and the NDP candidates who may run against her.
Although residents weren’t told who conducted or commissioned the poll, the questions asked point to the B.C. Liberals. Are they running nervous or just trying to figure out the strength of their opposition?
One woman surveyed said she was asked about possible NDP candidates including former RDOS director Allan Patton and former Osoyoos mayor Stu Wells.
Neither Wells nor Patton have announced whether they will even seek the nomination.
The poll lasted about 10 minutes, she said, and included questions about what she thought about the performance of Larson and of Premier Christy Clark.
The next provincial election takes place just over a year from now on May 9, 2017.
