BC Thanksgiving Food Drive volunteers will be delivering food donation bags the week of September 9 to many Oliver homes.
The donations in support of the Oliver Food Bank will be picked up on Saturday, September 14. Those who don’t receive a bag can drop off non-perishable food donations at the Oliver Food Bank (6047 Station Street) between 10 am and 1 pm on collection day.
For the last two years, the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive has helped restock the Oliver Food Bank’s shelves after a busy summer. The community donated over 4300 pounds of non-perishable food to the Oliver Food Bank last year.
Organizers say it would be wonderful to reach or surpass that total this year.
Thanks go out to all of the front-door food donors and community partners for their great support.
The community partners this year are the Oliver Food Bank, Oliver SuperValu, Oliver Dental Care, Oliver/Osoyoos Sikh Temple, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints.
