Despite being closed, the Oliver library has a lot to offer during the pandemic.

Community librarian Marigje Toepfer said there are many online resources that readers can use to access e-Books and e-Audio Books.

Patrons can also learn new languages, stream movies, learn their ancestry, do math and so much more, Toepfer said.

The librarian noted it has been fun learning new technology during the pandemic, but she definitely misses the interaction with the public.

If patrons don’t already have a library account, the library now offers e-Library cards for anyone 13 years or over.  If you have an account but can’t remember your pin code, email the library at [email protected] or chat with library staff on the website at www.orl.bc.ca.

If patrons have books at home, there is no need to worry because everything has been renewed until June 15, Toepfer said.
