Take a hard look before casting ballots
Editor:rnStand Up For CanadarnWith a nation wide election looming on the horizon I would challenge the Canadians to take a hard look before casting their ballots.
We have strayed so far from the precepts this nation was founded on. We have tried it many ways and what a supreme mess we find ourselves in.
If we could vote in a party whose leader would humble himself and seek wisdom from the Supreme Commander Jesus Christ we could become a great nation even a super power in the appointed time. We have vast natural resources never even tapped. If we would explore and open up these resources under government funding we could create many jobs and use the revenue from this enterprise to reduce the deficit, have money left over to share with the starving world. God's word tells us if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray and seek my face, turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land. Lord, we need you so desperately to hear our cry.
After much prayer I will vote Conservative.

Editor:rnIt is shocking and despicable what is happening in our riding. Conservative candidate Derek Zeisman has been charged for smuggling! But wait it gets better, Mr. Zeisman has not resigned.
Conservative party leader Steven Harper has come out and said that if elected Mr. Zeisman would NOT be allowed to sit in the Conservative caucus meaning that if elected Mr. Zeisman would become an independent because his party will not have him. I personally feel that if Mr. Zeisman had any class he would save his party and his riding the embarrassment and step down.
If Mr. Zeisman does decide to run and refuses to step down I urge all of you not to vote for Mr. Zeisman.

Editor:rnA VERY SCARY THOUGHT!rnSo, it is said that Stephen Harper may make his way to the throne!rnNow, if he does, imagine the front steps of the White House,rnStephen negotiating the steps to the front door…on his knees! Begging for an audience with his mentor George Bush to discuss: Missile Defense, Kyoto, Nafta (wheat, mad-cow, softwood lumber), Water, Iraq, Iran and other (OIL) – Adventures, Gun Control, No-Fly lists, and above all the benefits of Budget Deficits and the American Health care system!rnStanding up for Canada….?rnGod help Canada!rnArt Molenkamp, CanadianrnOsoyoos
Editor:rnFrequent mention has been made of Canadian's expectations that our MP's will work as a team. After the Monday evening leader's debate I had the following picture in my mind.
Gilles Duceppe (Bloc Quebecois) was in the dugout refusing to play for Team Canada; Jim Harris (Green) was on the sidelines wishing he could play; Paul Martin (Liberal) grounded out (into the dirt) to the shortstop (perhaps a short stop as PM); Stephen Harper hit a solid line drive into right field.
