Writer has option of staying here
Editor:rnSo the prolific E.R. (Rod) Kerr is upset because Canadian Customs officers had the nerve to do their job and inspect his luggage upon his return from the United States (Hateful End to Holiday,Osoyoos Times issue of December 22).
The last I checked, Canadian citizens returning from another country are not automatically exempt from the laws of the land simply because of their age.
Should this truly upset Mr. Kerr, he has the option of staying in Canada and avoiding Customs altogether or, for that matter, staying in the United States, if he prefers his treatment there.
