CONCERT SOCIETY GRATEFUL FOR CONTINUED SUPPORTrn
Editor:
Executive of the South Okanagan Concert Society met recently and the conversation drifted to the difficult economic times and the downturn in investment markets.
With this in mind, we recognized that our sponsors, big and small, were sticking with their commitments and continuing to make it possible for us to bring world- class live music to this community.
We are so grateful to have their support.
For all of you who will be coming to our Valentine concert Opera With A Twist and A Kiss on Feb. 13, take a minute to read about these special sponsors on your program notes and on posters and ads.
Help us say 'thank you' by patronizing their services or simply by acknowledging their gift when you have the opportunity.
Marion Boyd,
South Okanagan Concert Society

COUNCIL MEMBERS WHO DECLINED BUILDING DONATION MADE WRONG DECISION
Editor:
In such uncertain economic conditions globally, I am disgraced by the actions of our Council's three musketeers.
They have stumbled back and forth on an issue of great importance to the economic future of Osoyoos: the opportunity to receive a private donation of a modular building to serve as the new terminal for our soon-to-be serviced airport.
This None-for-All approach to democracy is a slap in the face to those who saw the opportunity to provide a lasting landmark for this community.
If these three are worried about the future of our town, they should start acting on it and show some respect for the Private Sector who has offered to come forward and make our community's dream a reality.

Way to go Ron!
We were standing out of our chairs watching that rock.
Oh my God, a couple inches and you'd of had it.
Oh well, you done us all proud and you and Louise looked fabulous.
Congratulations!
