Dear Editor:
This is in response to the letter to the editor (June 13) from Dianne Varga from Kelowna about our first-past-the-post electoral system.
This missive is directly out of the NDP playbook.
The only reason that our present government wants another ballot on introducing an alternative is so they and their Green Party supporters can be re-elected.
The proposed questions are mind boggling in complexity, and designed to confuse the average voter.
Our present system has worked well since our great democracy came into being with Confederation.
Don’t forget, if Ontario had proportional representation in force at their election on June 7, there would be an NDP government in power now – a scary thought.
