I am writing because I think people should know just how lucky we are to live in such a caring community.
I am severely handicapped with final stages of COPD and have great difficulty breathing and getting around.
Last week I became breathless in a store and had to stop and lean on the shopping cart to catch my breath.
A gentleman stopped, put his hand on my shoulder and asked if I required help and showed great concern. I assured him I would be fine. He said if you need help I will do whatever I can. Again, I thanked him and he went on his way.
Still resting, a few minutes later, a middle age couple stopped and asked if they could help me. I said thank you but everything would be fine in just a few moments. They said okay and went on with their shopping but came back to make sure I was okay.
I write this letter in the hopes the good people of our great community can receive a little recognition of how great it is to live here.
